Over the holidays I managed to quilt and bind a small split rail fence top that my son pieced back when he was in elementary school. He’s now 24!. This Fall, I was cleaning out my sewing room to make space for the longarm and found the top in a box. So I decided it would be one of his Christmas gifts. It had been ignored way too long. The pattern was from an Alex Anderson book Kids Start Quilting. I did random lines in the opposite directions of the piecing in each block and some scallops around the border. Very simple.
